Koga Kiyomichi (久我清通)
Kiyomichi KOGA (1393 - October 16, 1453) was a Kugyo (high court noble) in the Muromachi period. His father was Michinobu KOGA. Michihiro KOGA was his child. His go (pen name) was Gokuze.
He applied for and obtained the position of Genji no choja (chief of the Minamoto clan), taking advantage of confusion caused by the Kakitsu Incident of December 23, 1441, in which Yoshinori ASHIKAGA was assassinated. After his death, the position was reclaimed by the Ashikaga Shogun family as Yoshinori ASHIKAGA was assigned to the position again.
Brief Personal History
In 1393, he was born as the child of Michinobu KOGA.
In 1429, he became a Naidaijin (Minister of the Center) (1429 – 1432).
On February 24, 1442, he was appointed to Juichii (Junior First Rank).
In 1452, he became a Daijo daijin (Grand minister of state) (1452-1453).
In 1453, he passed away.
